I've never done very well under the bridge at Piru Creek, so being a glutton for punishment I tried it again last Thursday.  I caught a few and missed a few more.  All of them were smallish, but it was fun to fish a different area.  I only had about 2 hours and walking all the way up to the C&R section wouldn't have left me with much fishing time.

The water was as clear as could be.

It was a nice day.  It's always several degrees cooler under the bridge.

It looks like some work was done to the creek - rock dams have been created that seem to add better pools and oxygenation.

If I had more time I would have headed downstream towards the campgrounds.  I saw a bunch of 'em jumping about 80 yards from the bridge.
