I went to check out another local stream - Bouquet Canyon Creek with my daughter today.  She took most of the pictures while I had fun trying to fish the tiny creek.

Bouquet Canyon Creek has its moments of beauty, but there is also a lot of trash both on the bank and in the water.

The road is a bit hairy.  It winds through the canyon and people drive fast, so pick your moment for pulling out carefully.

The water was real murky, but it's probably a good thing since the creek is very shallow.

Here I am working a bit of the stream that I could almost step across.  No casting required here.
