Fishing Trip - Cachuma Lake

The first stop of our trip was Cachuma Lake.  It's my daughters' favorite place to camp and my wife and I decided to bring her for the first leg of our trip.  Even though I was skunked (after fishing for maybe an hour), I was glad we went.  Lake Cachuma is no longer "dirt camping".  It is plush and green there, and the lake is up about 8 feet.  Seriously.

This is the tenement on wheels.  It's Ok.  The alignment is shot, some cabinet doors are missing, several couch cushions are ripped, the refrigerator was simply disgusting.  My wife and I spent some time - about 2 hours - cleaning it before putting our stuff inside.  She put some blankets over the couch cushions, swept, and removed a used feminine hygiene product (seriously) from the bathroom, while I cleaned the kitchen with a full container of antibacterial spray.

 Cachuma is greener than I have ever seen it, and the water levels are back to where they were when I camped as a kid.
