Knot Tutorial - How to tie an Arbor Knot

This is probably the best backing to reel knot - certainly the easiest.

Arbor Knot Step 1

Step 1: Pass backing around spool. Tie an overhand knot (granny knot) in the tag end.  Trim the loose end (by Step 3 this will be difficult).

Arbor Knot Step 2

Step 2: Tie another overhand knot - this time tie it around the backing.

Arbor Knot Step 3

Step 3: Pull the backing line - which will tighten the loop - and snug it.
