Kern River Trip November 2007 

I headed out to the Kern River for a little mid-week fly fishing trip last week with my Dad.  We had a great time, found some nice holes, but no fish.  As it turns out, we should have probably stopped by the local fly fishing shop to get an idea of where to hike.  It didn't matter though.  The water was cool, the scenery great and the company even better.

We got set up in the parking lot of the park near the Johnsondale bridge.  I took this picture of my Dad right before I headed across the river to use the outhouse.  On the way back I took an unscheduled swim.  Good thing I left the camera with my Dad.
